[Cayman] BlueSky insist they will take off

BlueSky airlines insists it will be business as usual in the future, despite downsizing operations. The airline says a small number of people have been made redundant after the company it was planning on leasing aircraft from, went into liquidation.

“We have every intention of restoring these positions,” said Mark Ellinger, BlueSky Chief Commercial Officer. “And not only that of course, but expanding the organisation to get ready for the launch of scheduled operations. Which we anticipate the later part of this year.”

Officials at BlueSky say they’re in the process of securing new aircraft and are working to recoup the deposit from the original supplier.
