Orlando Sanford Inaugurates Nonstop Flights from Aruba on Surinam Airways

Sanford, FL

Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) and Surinam Airways announce the start today of scheduled nonstop service from Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) in Aruba. The flight originated from Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport (PBM) in Paramaribo, Suriname with a stop in Aruba before its schedule arrival into SFB at 4:30 PM.

Dignitaries scheduled to arrive on the inaugural flight today include:
  • -Members of the Aruba Parliament
    -Surinam Airways, CEO
    -Surinam Airways, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors
    -Surinam Airways, Member of Board of Directors
    -Suriname Airport, Director
    -Members from the Aruba Airport Authority, Aruba & Suriname Tourism Boards, various travel agents and members of the press from Aruba & Suriname
The service operates weekly, year-round with a Monday afternoon arrival into SFB at 4:30 PM and a Tuesday afternoon departure from SFB at 4:00 PM. Surinam Airways uses a 737-300 aircraft with 126 seats (8 Business Class and 118 Economy Class). Fares can be booked at www.FlySLM.com.

Surinam Airways has operated seasonal nonstop flights from Georgetown, Guyana and direct flights from Paramaribo, Suriname into SFB since 2015.
