InterCaribbean Airways announces more flights to Cuba

The regional InterCaribbean Airways announced two more flights a week to connect the capitals of Jamaica and Cuba, Caribbean media report today. On March 9, with the introduction of flights on Monday and Friday, the company's flights will amount to four on its Kingston-Havana route, according to CEO Trevor Sadler, cited by eTurbonews.com. The company inaugurated this connection last year and also to the city of Santiago de Cuba.

Sadler expressed the purpose of renewing and extending ties between the two nations and the area's markets. He highlighted the comfort of trips on 50-seat jet planes on duty on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays to the Cuban capital.

InterCaribbean, based in Turks and Caicos Islands, is the regional airline with the largest number of destinations in the Caribbean. It also connects to Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Bahamas, Dominica, Saint Lucia and Saint Maarten.

This airline offers domestic flights in Jamaica between Kingston and Montego Bay, as well as flights within the Turks and Caicos Islands.
