Anguilla Air Services to add 18-seaters; eyes Antigua growth
03.10.2018

Anguilla Air Services (Q3, Anguilla) is planning to acquire a pair of 18-seater turboprops as part of its fleet and network growth strategy.

In a statement, the Caribbean carrier's chief executive Carl Thomas said the first of the aircraft (type unspecified) would arrive this year followed by a second in 2019.

“As the tourism industry continues to transform, industry partners must position themselves and adjust to meet the demands of the market," he said. "We continue to invest in the tools and equipment necessary to increase visibility, relevance and the accessibility of Anguilla as a destination."

Anguilla Air's fleet currently consists of three BN-2 Islanders and a Cessna (twin piston) 414.

Aside from private charter flights, Anguilla Air also offers scheduled flights from Anguilla to each of Saint Barthélemy and St. Maarten. It is also looking at starting scheduled flights out of neighbouring Antigua.

It also recently began retailing tickets via the GDS using the Hahn Air platform.
