Aruba Airlines adds first CRJ-200

Aruba Airlines (AG, Aruba) has taken delivery of its first CRJ-200 following the arrival of P4-CRA (msn 7796) in Aruba earlier this week.

The 16-year-old Bombardier Aerospace twinjet, which was recently in service with SkyWest Airlines (United States of America) as N507CA, will be joined by a second of the type later in the year. Both are leased from Avmax Aircraft Leasing. The new aircraft will primarily be used on flights connecting Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao as well as other short-haul regional routes.

Aruba Airlines has been wet-leasing a CRJ-200 from Canada's Voyageur Airways since 2017.

As it stands, the Dutch Caribbean carrier's fleet also includes three A320-200s which are used on scheduled flights connecting Aruba with Bonaire, Curacao, Venezuela, Nicaragua, the United States, Guyana, and Cuba. It also offers ACMI/charter services.
