Aruba Airlines will start its activities in Brazil with a direct flight on the stretch between Oranjestad , the island’s capital, and São Paulo, on December 14. The first few months the company will exclusively operate charter flights. In February the company is expected to launch a to scheduled flight service to the same destination.

For the remainder of 2012 and the first month or so of 2013, the company will offer one flight per week on the route. The weekly flight is scheduled to depart on Fridays at 19.30 hours from Aruba, and expected to arrive on Saturday morning at 03:25 a.m. local time at São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport. On its return flight the Aruba Airlines aircraft will land in Aruba on the same day, departing from Guarulhos International Airport an hour after landing.

From February 2013 on, Aruba Airlines will start a scheduled service, operating two weekly flights. According to the company plans Aruba can serve as a hub for connecting flights to some American cities such as Miami, New York and Boston as well as to Panama.

The aircraft that will be used for the flights to São Paulo for the route is the Airbus A320-300. The Airbus A320-300 is configured to provide 132 seats of which 120 pertain to the economy class and 12 in business class.
