Highlighting the list are two routes to San Juan. The ultra-low-cost carrier will begin seasonal service to Puerto Rico's capital from Cincinnati and Pittsburgh on Dec. 17. Those flights will augment Allegiant’s service between Orlando Sanford and San Juan, which is also set to begin in December. San Juan will become Allegiant’s first destination in the Caribbean.

In addition, Allegiant said Monday that it will begin flying year-round between Dayton, Ohio, and Punta Gorda, Fla., on Nov. 17; New Orleans and Concord, N.C., on Nov. 18; Pittsburgh and Austin on Dec. 16; and St. Pete, Fla., and Austin on Feb. 17.

The carrier also announced a new seasonal route between St. Pete and Portsmouth, N.H., beginning Nov. 17.

Allegiant expanded its capacity by 17% between the second quarter of last year and the second quarter of this year, according to company reports.
