Thomas Cook Airlines Launches Tobago Flights
November 18, 2016

Thomas Cook Airlines’ flights from Manchester to Tobago took off this week, marking the airline’s 17th long haul route. The airline is already the largest carrier to the US from Manchester and is extending its reach into the Caribbean.

Celebrated with a carnival atmosphere at the departure gate, the Tobago inaugural flight marks the beginning of a service heading to an amazing exotic destination. UK holidaymakers, as well as travellers worldwide, can now enjoy Tobago’s unique hotels and beaches, exquisite music and culinary habits of the island, with direct connections from Manchester.

“Tobago’s a great destination and with our . . . upgraded cabins, pre-order duty free service Airshoppen, and James Martin’s fantastic menu, our customers can travel in real style. Furthermore, our sister airline Condor, also started a new route from Munich to Tobago and Barbados [last] weekend. This new route perfectly complements the Thomas Cook Group Airlines routes from Frankfurt and Manchester,” said Thomas Cook’s sales and planning director Henry Sunley.

At the launch on Sunday, Sunley declared it was an amazing day for customers who wanted some luxurious winter sun.

Stephen Turner, commercial director at Manchester Airport, added: “It’s great to see Thomas Cook Airlines starting another long-haul route from Manchester. Tobago is a beautiful island and the ideal destination for those looking for some winter sun. We’re confident it will prove hugely popular with the 22 million people in our catchment area.”
