Civil aviation will be in focus from Sunday, December 2, to Saturday,December 8, as the Civil Aviation Department hosts its annual week of activities.The week will kick off with a church service at the St. Martin’s AnglicanChurch, St. Martin’s, St. Philip, on Sunday, December 2, beginning at 8:00 a.m.,where Minister of International Business and International Transport, GeorgeHutson, will deliver brief remarks.On Wednesday, December 5, travellers will receive important travel tips fromthe Help Desk erected at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA), from 1:00to 5:00 p.m., and will focus on the theme: "Travel Savvy Awareness".

.The following day, Thursday, December 6, the Air Traffic ServicesDepartment will throw open its doors to members of the public from 11:00 a.m. to3:00 p.m, so they can get an inside look at its operations.On Friday, December 7, the Barbados-based department will join the rest ofthe world in celebrating International Civil Aviation Day under the theme "Aviation:Our Reliable Connection to the World".
