BVI Airways establishes office in Road Town
January 13, 2017

BVI Airways has announced the establishment of its headquarters in the capital of the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Road Town, as the airline continues preparation to launch non-stop service between the BVI and Miami International Airport.

The office, which is located on level two of Commerce House along Waterfront Drive, was acquired in October to serve as the hub for the private airline’s executive management team.

“This is another major step for BVI Airways as we prepare to provide persons with ease of access to the Virgin Islands,” said Jerry Willoughby, chief executive officer and president of the airline.

“The establishment of our headquarters in the territory further demonstrates our commitment to being a truly BVI company as our operations will be managed on the ground in Tortola.”

In addition to its Road Town office, the company has established an operations office at the Terrance B Lettsome International Airport. The airport office is being managed by Stations Manager Roy Canter.

“That office will be the main office for the company’s operations controller, pilots, cabin crew, and mechanical engineers,” added BVI Airways, which today did not state exactly when it will start operating its already delayed service to Miami.

The BVI government, in the meantime, is pumping $7 million into the private venture.
