Jamaica Air Shuttle to begin operations
Friday, 04 December 2009

A new domestic airline is set to start commercial operations on Friday.

Jamaica Air Shuttle will provide service on the Tinson Pen to Montego Bay route.

This heralds the reintroduction of regular passenger air service at the Tinson Pen Aerodrome for the first time in several years.

Jamaica Air Shuttle will operate at least 30 on demand round trips per week between Tinson Pen and Montego Bay in the initial phase of its operations.

The airline plans to increase its trips and expand to Boscobel, Negril and Port Antonio.

It has acquired three twin turbo prop Beechcraft 99 aircraft.

Each plane has 14 passenger seats.
