Jamaica Air Shuttle ceases operations, hopes to relaunch
22FEB2013

Jamaica Air Shuttle (J6, Kingston Tinson Pen (KTP)) has suspended all flight operations on February 18 giving the current economic climate and increasing operating costs as reasons for the decision. It had offered domestic flights between Kingston Tinson Pen (KTP) and Montego Bay Sangster International (MBJ) as well as international routes from Kingston Norman Manley International (KIN) to Port au Prince Toussaint Louverture International (PAP) and between Montego Bay Sangster International (MBJ) and Santiago de Cuba Antonio Maceo International (SCU) using a fleet of three Beech 99 turboprops. Jamaica Air Shuttle hopes to be able to resume operations after reorganization.
