Our Client, Caribbean Airlines Limited, is seeking to fill the position of Vice President Commercial Operations..

The Vice President Commercial Operations reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will be required to provide leadership for and oversee all activities relative to Revenue Management, Marketing, Sales, Direct and Indirect Distribution Channels, Cargo, and Loyalty Programmes. In addition, the VP Commercial Operations provides significant input to the Network Planning, Scheduling and Product Development activities. He/She operates as a critical member of the corporate team in CAL's strategic planning initiatives and in monitoring to ensure that objectives are achieved or reviewed as necessary.

The VP Commercial Operations ensures the implementation of strategic initiatives that would: improve market position and generate increased revenue through the passenger, cargo, and ancillary business lines; be in alignment with the customer service and customer retention strategies; and enhance the e-distribution channels. He/She reviews and approves proposals on market potential, developing and exploiting markets, pricing strategies, product enhancement and improvement. The VP Commercial Operations also approves and ensures the execution of appropriate promotional strategies and advertising campaigns.

Suitable candidates should possess a Master's Degree or an MBA preferably in Marketing or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years' experience at a senior managerial level, preferably in the Aviation industry. Alternatively, the candidate should have fifteen (15) years managerial experience, with a minimum of five (5) years at a senior managerial position in the aviation industry. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of the Airline industry, particularly as it relates to customer service, sales, and marketing and working knowledge of strategic planning and monitoring. Quantitative analysis capabilities and bi-lingual skills would be considered.
