The government of the British Virgin Islands has welcomed the agreement between Delta Airlines and Seaborne Airlines to increase air access to the Territory and allow customers to purchase a single ticket for select flights between the United States and the Caribbean.

Premier and minister of finance, Dr Orlando Smith, said, "It will facilitate ease of travel to and from the British Virgin Islands, and help to position the destination as a more attractive jurisdiction for business and leisure travelers, especially as the Territory seeks to develop niche markets and value-added sectors."

Delta Air Lines made the announcement on its website in an article titled “Delta and Seaborne Ease Connectivity Between US and Caribbean”. Customers can book travel with connections to Seaborne-operated flights between: San Juan, Puerto Rico and St Croix; St Thomas and St Croix; San Juan and Anguilla; San Juan and Beef Island, BVI.
