Union in favour of BA pension change? Pigs really can fly

What a year for winding up the passengers. First, British Airways axes free food on short-haul flights, replacing it with the paid-for Percy Pig range from Marks & Spencer.

Then it removes a vital bit of kit from the first-class loo: fresh flowers. And all before infuriating some minor royal, Queen guitarist Brian May, over the view from his posh seat that “completely sucks”. Worse, to cap it all, BA’s computers go into a May tailspin, grounding 75,000 passengers, after a contractor tested its so-called “uninterruptible power supply” — by unplugging a cable and plugging it back in again.

And, after all that, guess what? BA’s moving on from its passengers: it’s now having a go at winding up the workers.
