The delegation arrived on Thursday December 4 in St. Maarten on Copa Airlines and was met by WINAIR and SXM Executive Lounge representatives, then guided through Immigration and transit processing.
The delegation experienced first-hand the transit process from Sao Paolo, Brazil, utilizing the interline agreement that exists between Copa and WINAIR, offering seamless travel from point of origin direct to their final destination.
The delegation was offered the services of the SXM Airport Executive Lounge, courtesy of the Airport. In season WINAIR operates twice daily services St. Maarten- Tortola-St. Maarten, and WINAIR overnights its aircraft four times a week offering connections to Copa Airlines and Caribbean Airlines.
WINAIR’s objective is to continue hosting Familiarization and Press trips to the destinations WINAIR flies with the cooperation of the SXM Airport Executive Lounge, and its airline partners, and working with stakeholders to promote services offered to travelers in St. Maarten and surrounding islands.
“These familarization/press trips are a valuable tool to ensure our customers understand and become more familiar with the services offered in St. Maarten and the surrounding islands” says Michael Cleaver, President and CEO of WINAIR.
Ketty Paines, Manager of the SXM Airport Passenger Services Department, under which the Executive Lounge falls, noted that “It is always a pleasure working with WINAIR with these Fam Trips and we hope that the outcome is beneficial to all involved”.
